You can trust those who love themselves

This morning as I was working out, I was confused on how to feel. This morning, there may or may not have been shots fired near my kids' school. My son is there on lockout and my daughter his home with me having a much needed mental health day.
Who can we trust? The world is so confusing, right? We trust our families, right? We trust our friends, right? We trust the schools we send our kids to every day, and the teachers that deserve medals. These thoughts popped into my head and I wondered, who the heck can we trust? There are so many people living in fear and lashing out to feel better, because let's face it, if you're happy, do you want to hurt anyone?
Sometimes the ones who say they love us, don't. Sometimes the ones who are supposed to love you, don't. So many people have a warped sense of love and trust.
How are we supposed to trust anyone when they say they love us? Seriously!
And then it HIT ME, I mean like a bat on a baseball. OMG, it hit me!
I've been through a rough couple of years, learning all kinds of lessons, my biggest one to date is learning to love myself.

I must say I have a handful of TRUE friends. These are my "Marble Jar Friends" (Look up Brene Brown and the topic of trust) they have proven time and time again, over and over, they are here for me, I can trust them. No matter what comes out of my mouth, they love and accept me. They have my back. They cheer me on. These are MY PEEPS. I love them all so very much and will never be able to repay them in 5 lifetimes.
The one thing Every Single One of these Angels has is in common is, they love themselves. They have hearts that are overflowing with unconditional love. I know this because I have joined their group. Of course I'm not perfect, I have my ego moments, we are not human without our ego.
We need to teach our children to love themselves, something that I was not taught. I am not blaming anyone for this, it is how things were done. As we can see, in today's world, things cannot be done the way they used to be. We must show ourselves and our children unconditional love and maybe our grand kids and those who follow won't have to be sitting in their classrooms under lockout, afraid to walk outside.
With Love, Always...
